Jill Kohler
President, Kohler Academy

As President and Founder of Kohler Academy in North Scottsdale, Arizona, Jill and her husband Burt Kohler center their sights on improving not only their 14,000 square foot private cosmetology and skin therapy school, but also on strengthening the professional beauty industry by educating and inspiring the next generation of beauty professionals.

Kohler brings over 16 years in the beauty industry to her role as President of Kohler Academy. She began her salon-related career in 1993 in the Marketing and Education division of Nexxus Products, a leading international manufacturer. In 1996, she joined the Professional Beauty Association (PBA). Kohler is proud to be a member and active supporter of the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS), where she has served on various committees and projects since launching the Academy in 2006. Through Kohler Academy's relationship with Pivot Point International, Kohler serves on the Member School Owner Advisory Board.

Her background in the professional beauty industry, combined with an endless enthusiasm for education, enables Jill Kohler and Kohler Academy to prepare students for extraordinary careers.

Burt Kohler
Co-Founder & Creative Director

Burt has more than fifteen years of marketing experience in the Southwest and Southern California markets across a variety of industries. Burt began his career in Southern California's action-sports apparel industry. Performing marketing, public relations and production duties for several labels, under parent companies including Sierra West and MEI Apparel, Burt has engaged targeted consumers through traditional and unconventional marketing efforts.

Locally, Burt spent five years at the award-winning Montague & Company Marketing Communications applying his special talents in client relations, copywriting, event planning, media relations and creative campaign management before taking on the role of Creative Director at Kohler Academy.

When not in colorful office at Kohler Academy, Burt enjoys spending time and being creatively inspired by his and Jill's two boys.
