How did you get your job?
So, here's my story....I actually went to a few places, a few of which were recommended by Jill and a few places I found on my own. I 'auditioned' (that's what they called it) at a very chic salon that I stumbled upon online called Hiro Haraguchi Salon in NYC. They have a salon in the Hotel Gansevoort and a salon uptown. But, at the same time, I was considering an Aveda salon Jill recommended called Scott J Salon. After trying both out (which I recommend to any graduate), I decided that I could both learn techniques from Scott J Salon and become a stylist in a reasonable amount of time.
What is your favorite memory of Kohler?
My favorite memory of Kohler Academy? I was lucky enough to be in a class with some amazing women. Those are my memories. Sharing a part of myself, while others shared themselves with me, and continuing to grow with them. Skye, Kelli, Lasurdo...we became who we are through the experience, all of different ages and backgrounds....
Were there any techniques or anything else you learned at Kohler that really helped you get to where you are now?
Kohler Academy....are you kidding???? I brag and brag and brag, about the school and the way it is run and the lessons and life it brings to people. Kohler Academy and Jill and Burt and Jen and Shannon and Nikki and Ralph and Monique...I don't even know who is there any more, but let me come tell those students how it IS! You got me all fired up...
